Living Donation Week 2025

In March 2025, NHSBT hosted its inaugural Living Donation Week, celebrating both donors and recipients who have participated in organ donation. To further raise awareness of living organ donation, we have developed a new graphical element that will be incorporated into all future collateral.

For Living Donation Week, we created a variety of assets, including social media content, email banners, screensavers and a stakeholder packs, designed for our supporters to share across their communication channels throughout the week. Additionally, we provided the Wales team with a suite of assets to promote awareness of living organ donation in the region.

Furthermore, I was tasked with producing an animation to explain how the UK Kidney Living Sharing Scheme works.

Successes:
Thanks to the event, the Organ Donation website experienced an uplift of 31 % during the week.
An additional 23% of donors contacted transplant centres directly to find out more about living donation. Due to budget restrictions, this activity relied heavily on PR and local Organ Donation ambassadors.
